Calling all footballers at Oxford University

If you are a member of an Oxford college, please register for an ouafc.com account. Once you have registered you will be able to log into your own college's section of the site and add news and match reports, post messages in your own college's forum, edit other players' biographies, enter quizzes and vote in polls. You can view detailed statistics on all football matches played at Oxford University: the more people register, the more comprehensive the data will be so please help us out by contributing. Even if you don't play football, you are welcome to register.

OUWAFC Development Days

OUWAFC are hosting their annual Development Days this weekend. All female footballers from the university are invited to come down to Iffley Sports Centre for a chance to improve their skills and learn more about the game. The days will include coaching sessions from university coaches and players, as well as matches at the end of the day. There may even be a chance to get scouted for the uni sides. The day really is open to everybody: from complete beginners to internationals!

13th & 14th June
10.30am-3pm each day
Iffley Sports Centre

You'll need to bring boots, Astros/trainers, shinpads, lunch and plenty to drink.

ICT Final Tonight at the Kassam

Tonight - Tuesday 19th May - is the ICT final at the Kassam Stadium between England C and Belgium. It's only £1 to get in and easy to get to via the buses! The Number 5 takes you to Pegasus Road and it is only 5 minutes walk from there.

Peter’s put out the Dragons’ fire

After a mixed bag of results in the cuppers 5-a-side tournament, the St Peter’s team were not overly confident going into their first 11-a-side game of Trinity against the Dragons team from Royal Holloway.
However, after what seemed like only a matter of minutes, the ever-confident Matt Judge blasted Peter’s into the lead, boosting the spirits of the rest of his team. The dragons were soon to reply though, first with a goal resulting from a defensive mix-up, and then a second after what can only be described as a “fortunate” effort that looped into the roof of the net after a corner.

Unperturbed, Peter’s hit back again after a sublime cross-field ball from the tireless Mike Lomas at left back was met with a neat cross clinically finished by Morgan Griffiths, who troubled the... (more)
