Biography
Initially brought into the squad to satisfy the club's committment to equal oportunities, Jonny has become a regular member of the Centaurs team and has one of the best 'touches' in the University. Despite his small stature Jon can kick the ball a very long way, being the only person in club history to complete the crossbar challenge from the edge of the 6 yard box in the other half. He has become such an important player that he was recently "targeted" for man-marking by Loughborough IIIs.
His demure appearance, elegant playing style and the fact that he is a scholar in Fine Art are in stark contrast to his actual Staines wideboy personality which often leads to him staggering across Magdalen Bridge in the early hours and is to blame for his shocking habit of wearing ridiculous trainers with his shirt and tie.
Not content with just football Jonny was a member of the Magdalen College banter boat which managed to move away from the bottom of the River for the first time in living memory in Summer VIII's 2006. Little Jonny also has a lucrative future career lined up as a dog jockey.
